Welcome to Oxford seminars

Oxford Seminars is an independent expert group headed by Michael McIntyre formed to share knowledge, experience and information relating to acupuncture and different herbal medicine systems.

Now in its second year, Oxford Seminars is delighted to announce a new series of one-day seminars for 2014 on the treatment of specific conditions with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. These seminars can be attended singly or taken as a course altogether.

The seminars are at postgraduate level, for those already in practice, aimed at delivering a practical approach to the treatment of many common conditions. The seminars will be delivered by Michael McIntyre who will include, where appropriate, the use of herbs grown and used in the western herbal tradition.

Oxford Seminars has no affiliation to, or income from, any commercial or industry bodies.

What to expect

Oxford Seminars are intensive!

As you will see from the detailed seminar descriptions, each covers a considerable amount of material so the pace is brisk.

With short breaks in the morning and afternoon sessions, and a one hour break for lunch, expect the rest of the day to be fully occupied.

Michael McIntyre welcomes questions, both during the seminars and informally at the end of the day.

Who should attend?

Our seminars are tailored for anyone with a professional interest in acupuncture or herbal medicine, particularly those practicing in the Chinese tradition.

Most of the people joining our seminars have relevant qualifications to degree level or above.

Although useful, it is not absolutely necessary to have a complete knowledge of Chinese herb names as Michael McIntyre provides English and Latin names where appropriate.
